NVR 5 Series displaying 'Monitor out of sync' message

If you experience a locally connected monitor showing out of sync when using HDMI there are a few things to try to over the issue.

 

  • Check the HDMI cable is ok and functioning correctly.

  • Try a different HDMI cable.

  • Log in to the NVR using a web browser, from the menu on the left select ‘Display’. Under the display menu, change ‘HDMI Mode’ to ‘DVI’.

    It is also recommended to change the resolution to the correct maximum supported resolution for your monitor.

  • Connect a VGA monitor to the VGA output on the NVR (if supported). Once you get an image using VGA, enter the NVR setup menu using the cog located in the top left-hand side of the live display.

    Once in the NVR menu, select ‘Display’ from the left-hand side menu bar. Under the display menu, change ‘HDMI Mode’ to ‘DVI’.

    It is also recommended to change the resolution to the correct maximum supported resolution for your monitor.
