Can I plug my NVR in to any port on my switch?
In theory yes, but in reality NO. You will need to plug you NVR in to a gigabit network port to get the best smoothest results from your HD IP system.
*** Warning, you do not need to plug your NVR in to a gigabit port, it will still function but it my experience erratic video behaviour until the correct speed port is provided.***
