When adding an IP camera's to a LILIN NVR Touch you can select a Decode Reference value for each individual IP camera. This value specifies the amount of frames the NVR will cache from the camera.
The effects of changing this value can increase or decrease video latency.
The lower the Decode Reference the less latency there will be in the time taken for a specific frame to be shown on the NVR but in turn less frames are cached by the NVR.
If the Decode Reference value is set higher, more frames will be cached by the NVR, this means the latency on an image sent from an IP camera until the NVR displays the frame will be higher.
