Remove a LILIN ActiveX control without factory resetting Internet Explorer

You can remove a LILIN ActiveX control that is installed when first accessing a LILIN device without having to factory reset Internet Explorer.

The ActiveX control is a series of files that are automatically pushed out from the target device being accessed remotely. If you experience any issues with the ActiveX or video not displaying correctly, one of the first steps to try is to remove the ActiveX control and reinstall once again.

To remove the LILIN ActiveX control on Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 follow the simple steps below:

1) Open 'File Explorer' on Windows.

2) Browse to the following location: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\lilin

3) Delete either the entire LILIN folder from the SysWOW64 directory or delete the files within the LILIN folder located within the SysWOW64 folder.

This has now removed the LILIN ActiveX control. Next time you access any of your LILIN devices, if the ActiveX is required the device will prompt you to install the ActiveX once again.
