Navigator End Playback Error Message

If you are attempting to playback recorded footage from the Navigator software but are only getting the message 'End Playback' and never get any video play. The cause of this is that the channels that have been backed up are higher than the current amount of channels displayed on screen.

In the example below, channels 21–24 have been backed up from a LILIN Navigator system with 36 connected channels.

When opening the playback software, you must select a screen division that supports the highest channel number contained within the backup. In this case, because the backup includes channels 21–24, the playback layout must support at least 24 channels.

If a layout with fewer channels is selected, such as a 16-division screen, the playback software will be unable to display channels 21–24 and will instead show the error message illustrated below.

As shown in the example, the current playback layout is limited to 16 channels, meaning channels 21–24 are not available within the display grid and therefore cannot be played back. To resolve this issue, simply change the screen division to a layout that supports 24 or more channels, after which playback should operate normally.

As shown below, once a screen division supporting more than 24 channels is selected, the recorded video will play back correctly.

In this example, the backup contains footage from channels 21–24. By changing the playback layout to a 36-division view, channels 21–24 become available within the display grid, allowing the recordings to be played back as expected.

The screenshot below shows a 36-channel division, which provides sufficient channel capacity for the playback software to display and access channels 21–24. Once the correct division is selected, the video streams will appear normally and the "End Playback" message will no longer be displayed.

When encountering playback issues with backed-up footage, always ensure that the selected screen division supports the highest channel number included in the backup, rather than simply the number of channels that were backed up. For example, footage recorded from channels 21–24 requires a layout capable of displaying at least 24 channels, even though only four channels were exported.
