As internet connect speeds increase for both landline and mobile devices, it is less likely that a site will experience poor connectivity between the NVR and the mobile app.
However, if the internet connection on a site where an NVR is located is poor or has limited upload bandwidth available, or the mobile phone is in a poor internet connection area, the settings below can help increase the app performance and lower overall bandwidth usage.
Full HD Mode
Ensure that the LILINPro app has the Full HD option disabled.
JPEG Mode on NVR
From the NVR's Network --> Other menu, turn JPEG Mode to Software Encode H.26X to JPEG.
Use DDNS and Port Forwarding rather than P2P
Connect to the NVR using DDNS and port forwarding rather than the P2P service. This means that the mobile device will talk directly to the site the NVR is on without any other 3rd party services, potentially speeding up the connection between the mobile app and NVR.
Do not use HTTPS for the remote connection, use regular HTTP
If the NVR has been configured to use HTTPS instead of the regular HTTP, this can also have an effect on the remote access performance of the NVR and mobile app. If this is the case, it is recommended to disable HTTPS and use regular HTTP. This will weaken the security of the connection but increase performance.
