It is possible to enable or disable the web GUI password for a LILIN NVR.
Please be aware of any security risks before disabling your NVR's authentication password, doing so could leave the NVR open to unauthorised access and possible malicious actions.
The recommended option to use is Digest Authentication.
To enable or disable the NVR Web GUI password, simply adjust the option highlighted below.
None - This disables the need to enter a password when connecting to the NVR's web GUI. This option is not recommended.
Basic - Basic authentication transmits usernames and passwords across the network in an unencrypted form.
Digest - Digest Authentication improves security over Basic Authentication by ensuring passwords are not sent in plain text.
