When backing up footage from a LILIN NVR, you will need to choose which file type to use for your backup.
The most noticeable difference between the two backup types are
AVI
.AVI backups includes a channel, date & timestamp added by the NVR when the file is converted. This is a good choice if you do not have timestamps enabled on the camera output.
The timestamp added by the NVR is the white timestamp at the bottom.
MP4
.MP4 does not have any additional information added on backup so does not contain a timestamp unless the timestamp on the camera is active, as shown below.
