No P2P Code - UID

If you attempt to use P2P for remote access to an NVR and no P2P code is displayed, or the NVR shows UID where the P2P code should appear, you will need to re-register the device's P2P code by following the steps below.

The P2P registration code can be found on the sticker located on the rear of the NVR, usually labelled P2P.

To obtain the P2P code:

  1. Locate the P2P sticker on the rear panel of the NVR.

  2. Use a QR code reader on your smartphone or tablet to scan the QR code.

Example Code - IE56GE9J03G09YJ3G82HG8BC

The next step is to enter the P2P code into the NVR.

To do this, log in to the NVR and navigate to:

Network → Advanced → P2P

This will open the P2P Licence screen.

Enter the P2P code obtained from the QR code sticker into the appropriate field and click OK.

The NVR will then save the P2P code and automatically verify the licence with the P2P service.

If the registration is successful, the Status field will update to Registration Done.

Once the status shows Registration Done, the NVR is successfully registered with the P2P service and can be added to the LILINPro mobile app for remote access.

What If P2P Registration Fails?

If the P2P registration process fails and the NVR does not display a status of Registration Done, there are several items that should be checked before requesting further assistance.

1. Verify the P2P Code

Ensure that the P2P licence code has been entered correctly. If the code was entered manually, check for any typing errors and re-enter the code if necessary.

2. Check Internet Connectivity

The NVR must have access to the internet in order to communicate with the P2P registration server.

To verify this:

  • Confirm the network cable is connected.
  • Check that the NVR has a valid IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS settings.
  • Verify that the NVR can access the internet through the local network.
