Receiving multiple emails every time a motion alarm is triggered on an IP camera

If you have your camera configured to send SMTP (email) alerts direct from the camera when motion is detected, you may be receiving multiple emails per alarm trigger.
(If there are multiple alarm triggers you will still receive multiple emails)

To stop the camera sending multiple emails on one alarm trigger you will need to adjust the email send 'Dwell' time on the camera.

To do this, log in to the camera and navigate to

Setup --> Advance Mode --> Event

You will see at table like below. Ensure the dropdown list shows 'Motion Detection' and select 'Edit Event'.

On the Edit Event screen check that 'Enable' and 'SMTP Service' are ticked. Adjust the 'Dwell Time' for SMTP Service to '1 Sec'.

Now the camera will only send 1 email every time motion detection is triggered.

(If there are multiple alarm triggers you will still receive multiple emails)
