Video Latency on NVR's main monitor output

If you experience latency on the local monitor output of your NVR, there is a setting to adjust.

An example of latency would be:

If you have a camera pointing at a door and someone physically walks through the door then approximately 5 seconds time you see them walk through the door in the CCTV.

To lower the latency, enter the NVR main menu using either the local controls or a web browser.

Select ‘Camera’ then the channel you want to adjust (these settings are changes on a per channel basis).

Under the camera menu you will see a filed labelled ‘Decode Ref’.

Please set this to ‘Immediate’. There is also a number value associated to this. The lower the number the quicker the video will be presented on screen (lower latency).
