Which camera encoders does an NVR connect to

LILIN IP cameras have multiple video encoders enabled as default. Each encoder is an independent video stream meaning the camera is able to broadcast multiple streams in both different resolution and different H.264/H.265 compression (where supported) concurrently.

A LILIN NVR will automatically connect to the highest resolution streams available for both the required SD and HD stream. If there are 2 or more streams with matching resolutions the NVR will then automatically connect to the lowest number encoder.

Please note that the NVR does not take compression in to account when selecting its video streams.

In the example below, the NVR would connect to Encoder 1 for its HD stream and Encoder 2 for its SD stream.
