Camera Firmware Update Guide

First, identify which camera you have. Below is a guide showing this process

Identify which LILIN device I have

To update your camera firmware, begin by downloading the correct firmware file for your specific camera model.

You can find this on either of the following websites:

http://LILIN.uk/files - Recommended   Or    http://meritlilin.com

  1. Once downloaded, extract the contents of the .zip file to access the firmware file (ending in .bin).

  2. Open a web browser and log in to your camera.

  3. After logging in, click “Setup” in the top-right corner.

  4. Select the “Maintenance” tab from the top menu.

  5. Click “Choose File”, then browse to and select the extracted .bin file.

  6. Click “Submit” to begin the update.

Your camera will now start the firmware update process. A progress bar will display the file upload status. Once the upload completes, an on-screen countdown timer will appear.

When the timer finishes, your browser should automatically reconnect to the camera.

Your firmware update is now complete.

If you attempt to submit an incorrect file to the camera, you will get an error message.

If you see this error, it means the file you are trying to submit is either incorrect or not compatible with the camera.

Do not change the file name and resubmit it under any circumstances. Doing so may cause the camera to go offline and could require it to be returned to a LILIN regional office for recovery.

***Additional Notes***

To confirm the update was successful:

  1. Log back into the camera.

  2. Navigate to “Setup” again.

  3. Check the firmware version displayed on the page.
