Enable Brute Force Protection on LILIN NVR’s (Account Lock)

It is possible to enable a feature called ‘Account Lock’. This feature will automatically lock access to the NVR’s web GUI once a password has been entered incorrectly more than a specified amount of times.

To enable this feature, access the NVR’s menu or web GUI and select ‘System’ from the menu and then the ‘Users’ tab at the top of the screen.

At the bottom of the Users menu bar you will see an ‘Account’ option, select this.

Account Lock is the amount of times a password can be entered incorrectly before the NVR stops web GUI access.

Recovering Time is the time that the GUI will be inaccessible for.

The Complex Password tick box forces passwords entered in to the user accounts to be a strong password requiring numbers, letters and symbols.
