This guide assumes the client software has already been installed.
If not already installed, a copy of the client software can be downloaded here.
First Launch
Double-click the client icon to launch the client software for first time.
The first time you run the client software, you will be prompted to set the client administrator password.
Highlight the admin account on the left-hand window then click save at the bottom. This will configure the admin user to not have a password to access the client software.
Click Exit
You will be asked to log out of the software. Enter the username as admin and click Ok.
Re-launch the client software and login with the same details just used to close the software.
Add a Device

The software will now load to its main screen.
To add a device to the client, right click on Private Collections and a mini menu will appear, select Add Device to Private
A new window will appear where you will enter the details of the device you wish to add to the client software. This can be an NVR, Nav server or standalone camera, you must select the correct device type from the Device Type dropdown.
Once all of the device details have been entered and the correct device type selected, click the Connect button in the bottom left-hand side.
If all the device details have been entered correctly, the client will now connect to the device and show a preview of the first camera just above the connect button.
Now click the OK button, this will now add the device and automatically create a new viewer under the view manager drop-down.
Playback and Backup
To access playback through the client software simply click the icon below from the top menu bar. This will load the multi-channel playback feature.
The playback window will now be displayed. This is where you select your time and date to watch previously recorded video.
To select a specific date and time for playback, click the required day within the calendar. Navigator will then load all available recorded data for that date.
To narrow down the results, enter the desired Start Time and End Time, then click Search. The software will filter the available recordings and display only footage that falls within the selected time range.
To begin playback, simply click on the required minute within the results list. The associated video recording will automatically load and start playing. This allows operators to quickly locate and review footage without manually searching through the entire day's recordings.
To backup video, ensure you have filtered the correct time and dates required for your backup and click the ‘Backup’ icon from the bottom menu.
The Backup Menu will now open. The Start Date, End Date, and time range should automatically reflect the filtered results selected in the previous step. If necessary, these values can be adjusted manually before creating the backup.
Next, select the camera channels that you wish to include in the backup. Once the required cameras have been selected, click Start Convert, as shown below.
Navigator will then process the selected footage and create an AVI (.avi) file containing the chosen recordings. The resulting file can be played back using compatible video playback software or archived for future reference.
