If you have lost the password for a LILIN camera, there are several methods you can use to regain access.
Retrieve the Password from the NVR
Log in to the NVR and select the channel to which the camera is assigned. Within the channel settings, you should be able to view (“Show”) the password the NVR uses to authenticate with the camera. Use this password to log in directly to the camera.
Factory Reset the Camera
If the password cannot be retrieved, you can perform a factory reset on the camera. The reset procedure varies by model, so it is recommended to consult the camera’s documentation for model-specific instructions.
-
Sealed cameras (e.g. turret-style cameras): These typically have a reset cable located near the RJ45 connector. Short the reset cable for approximately 30 seconds to restore factory settings.
- Non-sealed cameras: These usually include a physical reset button inside the camera. Accessing it may require opening a trapdoor on the bottom of the camera, removing the front cover, or taking off the lid. The exact process is model-specific.
The guide below shows the factory reset process and location of the reset button on some LILIN cameras.
